AVM releases new single,YEARNING

by Feferity

AVM has released another hit single, titled Yearning and just like her past singles which include Whine Up and Tuzine, Yearning is set to position the Ugandan-born songstress on the UK Afrobeat as well as international scene.

Real name Alice Violet Mutumba has been in the entertainment industry since the age of six as a child TV star in Uganda before moving to the UK where she nurtured her varying talents which included singing, songwriting and music production. She has also ventured into TV presentations, acting and events management which led her to create and produce “Music on The Catwalk” (MOC), a fashion and music event. MOC has been produced in both London and New York and will soon be produced in other countries in Africa.

AVM opened for Davido’s 30billion concert Tour in Birmingham in 2017.

With a lot of encouragement from her performing arts tutor, AVM enrolled in a music technology course and started writing and producing pop songs. She co-wrote three demo songs with a German producer. The songs were noticed by a Virgin Record label A&R executive, Nigel Wilderman who advised AVM to continue writing songs which could possibly be used by other artists.

Her 1st solo single, Kwato Po was released in 2014. Followed by Whine up and both songs recorded great success in Uganda and neighbouring East African countries. Her 3rd single, Happy: Lino essanyu which had a remix version featuring Bob Junior, a top Tanzanian musician, recorded a much bigger success across Africa.

Tuzine her 4th effort, produced by Fliptyce, a Nigerian music producer who produced P Square’s major international hit song, Chop my money ft Akon, further affirmed her as a world-class material. So, did Emergency, her February 2017 release

And Now Yearning with current Ugandan music sensation and KFC Ambassador, Ceaserous is no doubt, on the very least, going to position AVM as Uganda’s Queen of music.
