Following the resounding success of its April debut, the Media Integrity Initiative Africa (MIIA) is returning this July with the second edition of its quarterly online training series, offering another round of free, top-tier media training to journalists and media professionals across the continent. Scheduled to hold over two consecutive Saturdays—12th and 19th July 2025—the sessions will be hosted virtually from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. The programme promises a robust curriculum facilitated by some of the most respected names in Nigerian journalism, broadcasting and media strategy. With an ambitious mission to foster ethical, innovative, and impactful journalism, MIIA’s training series continues to garner interest among both emerging talents and seasoned professionals seeking to stay ahead in an ever-evolving media landscape.
“MIIA is more than a training programme—it is a movement to nurture a new cadre of bold, ethical, and impact-driven African media professionals,” says Dr Tony Onyima, media strategist and former Anambra State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture. “The training has been carefully curated to reflect the growing demands on journalists to uphold ethics, accuracy, and innovation.”
